New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple reports. ESPN reports that the trade involves the Giants receiving the Browns' first-round pick this year, their second third-round pick, and safety Jabrill Peppers. The 26-year-old wide receiver reportedly signed a five-year deal with the Giants worth up to $98.5 million less than a year ago, making him the “highest-paid receiver in the NFL.” However, after a losing season and Beckham being involved in “several incidents that angered” the team's leadership, the Giants decided to move him after paying the receiver $21.5 million for 12 games last season. The network also reports that the team was not intending on trading Beckham but were “willing to listen to offers” from other teams—including the Browns and the San Francisco 49ers.
