Republicans Pen Official Letter Decrying Senate Dress Code Changes

All but three Senate Republicans signed the letter.

The vast majority of Republican Senators signed on to a letter Tuesday blasting Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for relaxing the chamber’s unwritten and often unevenly enforced dress code. “Allowing casual clothing on the Senate floor disrespects the institution we serve and the American families we represent,” the group wrote. All but three Senate Republicans signed the letter—Sens. Mike Braun (R-IN), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and Katie Britt (R-AL) did not.
