The Hudson River is overflowing its banks in lower Manhattan, flooding a block inland into the meatpacking district. As much as a foot of water has been reported on the Battery Park City boardwalk, and authorities have closed the north section of the Holland Tunnel, which connects New York and New Jersey, due to flooding. The East River is also topping the edge of its barrier wall. Massive surf and high winds are reported in Long Beach, where there's also heavy flooding.
