People looking for a job with the Republican National Committee are being grilled on their views about whether the 2020 presidential election was stolen, according to reports. One candidate told The Washington Post they were asked point-blank: “Was the 2020 election stolen?” while in a room with two senior advisers to Donald Trump. People familiar with the interviews told the Post that some of the prospective new hires were startled by the question and viewed it as questioning their fealty to the former president. Prospective employees have also reportedly been told that many will be expected to move to Palm Beach, Florida, near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. RNC and Trump spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez said in a statement that candidates who worked in battleground states “or are currently in states where fraud allegations have been prevalent were asked about their work experience.” “We want experienced staff with meaningful views on how elections are won and lost and real experience-based opinions about what happens in the trenches,” Alvarez added.
