The family of the first wife of Robert Durst, who mysteriously disappeared in 1982, is suing Durst for is her wrongful death. Durst is currently in federal prison and is awaiting trial for allegedly killing writer and friend Susan Berman. Durst has never been charged with the disappearance of his former wife Kathleen and alleges she traveled to New York City alone after the two had a fight at their home in nearby Westchester.
