Maybe in 2012, Bon Jovi. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its 11 inductees for next year and though LL Cool J, Donna Summer, and the New Jersey rockers of “Livin’ On A Prayer” fame did not make the cut, Alice Cooper, Neil Diamond, Tom Waits, Darlene Love, and Dr. John did. Diamond, who has been eligible to be inducted for several years, said, “I thought about it occasionally, but I kind of figured they'd get around to me at some point.” Cooper echoed his sentiment, saying, “It crosses your mind, but then you think of all the guys who aren't in there, some of them before you, and you go, ‘Wow.’ ... You realize that it's a waiting game.” The induction ceremony on March 14, which Love expects will be “a helluva jam session,” will be televised on the Fuse.
