Trump ally Roger Stone on Sunday said he is “prepared” to be indicted if special counsel Robert Mueller files charges against him in the Russia investigation. “It is not inconceivable now that Mr. Mueller and his team may seek to conjure up some extraneous crime pertaining to my business, or maybe not even pertaining to the 2016 election,” Stone said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “I would chalk this up to an effort to silence me,” he said, describing the probe as “an effort to silence or punish the president’s supporters and his advocates.” He expressed certainty that investigators had uncovered “no evidence whatsoever of Russian collusion,” saying they may try to tie him to other crimes instead. While the Republican operative said several of his associates have been “terrorized” by Mueller’s investigation, he said neither he nor his lawyer have been contacted yet.
