Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting Director Ronald Vitiello will leave his post on Friday, an agency official told Politico. Vitiello was reportedly a Border Patrol official who served in the ICE director role since June. ICE has not yet announced a replacement for Vitiello, but acting Deputy Director Matthew Albence is reportedly next in line. This comes after numerous high-profile departures have rocked the Department of Homeland Security—including those of former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, her deputy Claire Grady, and Secret Service Director Randolph Alles.
