GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore has vowed to file a lawsuit over a recent Washington Post report detailing sexual-misconduct allegations against him. Speaking in Huntsville, Alabama, on Sunday, Moore told supporters the article was “a desperate attempt to stop my political campaign” and the claims he was “involved with a minor child are completely false and untrue and for which they will be sued,” the Associated Press reports. He provided no further details on the lawsuit or who would be included in it. The story, which he dismissed as “fake news,” cited four women who alleged Moore pursued them sexually when they were teenagers. The youngest woman said she was 14 when Moore, then in his thirties, allegedly sexually abused her. Moore has faced calls to drop out of the Senate race in light of the allegations, but he has maintained he did nothing wrong and described the claims as part of a smear campaign against him.
