Rudy Giuliani seems to be having second thoughts about a birthday message he says he left for Donald Trump on the former president’s 78th birthday Friday. On “The Rudy Giuliani Show” late Friday, the former New York City mayor took a moment to wish the 45th president a happy birthday, noting that “God willing” Trump will also be the 47th. “We called him and left a message for him. And I hope he doesn’t listen to it ‘cause we sang happy birthday, this could set him off,” Giuliani said, without explaining what could possibly offend Trump about the song. “He likes [opera singer Luciano] Pavarotti, so this could set him off … in a whole new direction. Who knows, it could put him in a bad mood,” he said. Giuliani went on to say Trump “seems to be in such a good mood lately” and that “things are very much going his way,” before suddenly launching into a tirade about how, he claims, Trump’s Democratic opponents want “to take your kid away” to change their gender.
