Rudy Giuliani railed against the “wild, crazy, unorthodox” Russia investigation on Sunday and said investigators have no reason to interview President Trump. In an interview on NBC News’ Meet the Press, Giuliani said investigators looking into possible collusion and obstruction of justice by Trump should already have all the answers they need to wrap up the investigation because the president has publicly asserted his “true belief that he did nothing wrong.” “I’m not going to be rushed into having him testify so that he gets trapped into perjury,” Giuliani said. He went on to dispute the idea that Trump should testify if he’s got nothing to hide. “When you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth so he shouldn’t worry. Well that’s so silly because it’s somebody’s version of the truth, not the truth,” Giuliani. Told by NBC host Chuck Todd that “truth is truth,” Giuliani quickly retorted, “No, it isn’t truth. Truth isn’t truth.”
