Russia has warned its citizens against traveling abroad, saying the United States is now “hunting” for Russians to arrest across the world. In a statement from the Russian foreign ministry, Russian citizens were warned about the “real threat of being detained” by U.S. law enforcement. “Despite our calls to establish cooperation between the relevant authorities of Russia and the United States… U.S. intelligence services continue to actually ‘hunt’ for Russians around the world,” read the statement. The ministry claims 10 Russian citizens were arrested at Washington’s request while traveling in 2017 and warns that Russians face biased treatment in the U.S. judicial system.
