Tatyana Felgenhauer, the Russian journalist who was stabbed in the throat last week at work in Moscow, issued a statement thanking her supporters from the hospital after awaking from a coma. Felgenhauer is a top host and deputy editor-in-chief at Russia’s only independent news radio station, Echo of Moscow. Investigators have reportedly arrested the man suspected of the attack, a 48-year-old Russian Israeli. “You have to fight for your life,” said Felgenhauer, in her statement. The Daily Beast’s Anna Nemtsova reported last week that Felgenhauer was a key figure in covering Russia’s anti-Putin protests.
