The filmmaker behind Marvel’s Black Panther is reportedly set to do the sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Coogler signed a deal to write and direct movie’s sequel “some time ago.” Sources told the magazine that Coogler is expected to write the script next year with a target production start date of “either late 2019 or early 2020.” The movie, which centers around the king of a fictional African country named T’Challa, earned $1.3 billion worldwide and is considered to be an Oscar contender. Coogler is also executive producing LeBron James’ Space Jam sequel.
