Ex’s Lawsuit: Ryan Phillippe Threw Me Down a Flight of Stairs

An ex-girlfriend of Ryan Phillippe has filed a lawsuit against him claiming the actor allegedly kicked and punched her and threw her down a flight of stairs, People magazine reported. Citing court documents, People reports Elsie Hewitt claims the two had an argument on July 3 and that Phillippe got violent with her the next day when she went to his house to pack her things. The 21-year-old model also claims in the civil suit that he repeatedly abused “a panoply of legal and illegal drugs, including without limitation: cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and steroids…” and that the 43-year-old actor “increasingly combined these drugs with excessive alcohol consumption and often exhibited symptoms attendant of poly drug and alcohol abuse, including mood swings and bouts of anger.” The Los Angeles Police Department granted Hewitt an emergency protective order after the alleged incident. The magazine said a lawyer for Phillippe that it contacted did not respond to requests for comment.
