The San Francisco district attorney’s office has declined to file charges against Giants CEO Larry Baer after a physical fight with his wife was caught on video and published on TMZ's website, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. “After a careful review of the relevant evidence, including multiple videos, statements from several witnesses and the parties themselves, the evidence does not support filing criminal charges,” district attorney’s office spokesman Alex Bastian told the newspaper. Police and prosecutors were reportedly investigating the March 1 fight between Baer and his wife, Pam, who were both reportedly seen struggling over a cell phone in the TMZ video. Other surveillance footage reportedly shows Baer and his wife having a “verbal argument” about 25 minutes before the physical alternation. Attorneys for the couple reportedly called the fight an “accident,” and Baer issued his own statement apologizing for his behavior. According to the newspaper, Baer is currently on a leave of absence from the baseball team and could receive disciplinary action from the league.
