Sheryl Sandberg spoke out about the death of husband, Dave Goldberg, for the first time Wednesday, after the end of the Jewish mourning period for spouses. “I think when tragedy occurs, it presents a choice,” the Facebook COO wrote on Facebook. “You can give in to the void, the emptiness that fills your heart, your lungs, constricts your ability to think or even breathe. Or you can try to find meaning.” Sandberg said she plans to choose “life and meaning.” Even after the end of the mourning period, she added, she will continue to mourn for Goldberg.
