A Florida woman was sentenced Wednesday to five months in prison after pleading guilty to threatening a parent of one of the children killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting. Lucy Richards, 57, who claimed the mass shooting—which left 20 children and 6 school staffers dead—was a conspiracy theory, pleaded guilty to one count of interstate transmission of a threat to injure, admitting in court that she sent the boy’s father multiple death threats. After her prison sentence, Richards will be confined to her house for five months of home detention.
