Sarah Palin Admits She Was ‘Duped’ by Sacha Baron Cohen

In a long Facebook post on Tuesday, Sarah Palin revealed that she is among the victims of comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming Showtime series Who Is America? “Yup - we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate wrote on Facebook. “I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humor’ of the British ‘comedian’ Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime.” A teaser for the series shows former Vice President Dick Cheney signing a “waterboard kit.” According to Palin, Baron Cohen, who also interviewed Donald Trump as his Ali G character back in 2003, posed as a disabled U.S. veteran and interviewed her and her daughter at length before she finally “had enough” and walked out. She challenged Baron Cohen and Showtime to donate all proceeds from the show, which premieres this Sunday night, to a pro-veteran charity. “Mock politicians and innocent public personalities all you want, if that lets you sleep at night, but HOW DARE YOU mock those who have fought and served our country,” Palin added.
