Sarah Palin is ready for her close-up.
The Daily Beast has learned that Palin will travel to Iowa for the premiere of The Undefeated this week. Joined by her husband Todd, they will view the feature-length Palin documentary in the first caucus state on Tuesday.
The film will be shown at the historic Pella Opera House in Pella, Iowa—about 40 miles away from Des Moines—at 5 p.m. Central Time. Filmmaker Stephen K Bannon’s Victory Film Group and ARC Entertainment will also host what they are calling a “traditional Iowa cookout” after the film screening.

“We are very excited to visit historic Pella and its opera house and look forward to seeing the finished film for the first time with fellow Americans from the heartland,” said Palin in a statement released through the filmmaker’s representatives this morning.
Bannon said he learned late Friday night that Palin was going to attend the premiere, and added she seemed pleased by the venue.
“She was attracted to the old opera house and that it’s going to be a low key event in a terrific, old historic town,” Bannon said. “She liked that we picked a location in tune with the heartland values the film represents.”
The premiere may not be as “low key” as Bannon is expecting. News that Palin is attending the screening is sure to attract press from all over the world—as did the first leg of her bus tour.
The news of Palin’s public re-emergence comes on the heels of speculation this week that she had possibly ended her “One Nation” bus tour, which caused such a splash a few weeks ago when she journeyed up the East Coast. Palin quickly shot down the rumor that her tour was over, explaining that she had been called to jury duty in Alaska without specifying when, or whether, she will actually be asked to serve. Even with jury duty looming, it seems likely that the Iowa appearance will kick off the second leg of her bus tour.
The trip will undoubtedly reignite speculation that Palin will jump into the 2012 race, but insiders close to Palin maintain that she has yet to make that decision, and is still consulting with her husband and family.
The Undefeated will begin its national roll out the week of July 15 in AMC theatres across the country including Dallas, Denver, and Orlando. Palin recently bought a home in Scottsdale, Arizona and The Undefeated will also be shown in nearby Phoenix.
