Arthur Schwartz, a friend of newly minted White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, tweeted threats on Sunday morning directed at outgoing Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. “Hey @Reince. Remember when people told you that it was me that was trashing you in the press? They were right. Happy to start again,” Schwartz wrote on Twitter. In a separate tweet, Schwartz continued his threats, writing: “@Reince - you're unemployed now. Keep pushing this crap & I'll start dropping oppo on you.” After journalists began referring to Schwartz as Scaramucci’s publicist, Schwartz denied that he ever worked for Scaramucci. Schwartz later apologized, saying “I’m ashamed of what I said.” The threats underscore the bad blood between Scaramucci and Priebus, which likely led to Priebus’ ousting as chief of staff after President Trump has routinely sided with Scaramucci. In a vulgar interview with The New Yorker, Scaramucci called Priebus a “paranoid schizophrenic.”
