Archive Scenes From Election Night Across the country, winners and losers waited impatiently for exit polls in Tuesday's election night. See the moments captured just before the results rolled in. Published Nov. 6 2013 4:45AM EST
Tuesday night was one for the election books. In New Jersey, Chris Christie unsurprisingly secured four more years in the governor's mansion—and became the first Republican in a quarter-century to receive more than 50 percent of the N.J. vote. Bill de Blasio beat out Joe Lhota to take the reins from outgoing NYC mayor Mike Bloomberg. The Virginia governor's race was won by Terry McAuliffe, who trumped Tea Party candidate Ken Cuccinelli. Here are pictures of the moments before the results came in.
