The Department of Homeland Security will give Secret Service protection to leading Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ben Carson. Last month, several outlets reported the pair were under such protections, but The Daily Beast reported the candidates had only requested—not received—agents at their side. ABC News reported Thursday that Carson and Trump were now authorized for federal protection.
