Authorities investigating the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, said on Wednesday they found the highest concentration of the nerve agent Novichok on the Skripals’ front door, according to The Telegraph. This led investigators to believe that the Skripals were first poisoned at their home. “At this point in our investigation, we believe the Skripals first came into contact with the nerve agent from their front door,” said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon. “We are therefore focusing much of our efforts in and around their address.” While Haydon stressed that the risk for the neighborhood remains “low,” investigators will “likely be in the area for several weeks and months.” Scotland Yard also put out a statement, saying that 250 of their counter-terrorism detectives are on the investigation “around the clock,” and they have identified around 500 witnesses.
