Attorney Charles Cooper is representing Attorney General Jeff Sessions, he confirmed to the National Law Journal on Tuesday. Cooper did not comment on how he will represent Sessions, including whether he will represent Sessions in issues relating to the ongoing investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. Cooper—who previously worked to defend California's since-overturned gay marriage ban—counseled Sessions when he prepared for his attorney general confirmation hearings and attended Sessions’ congressional hearing last week.
