Seth Meyers Schools Trump on Climate Change: He’s Going to ‘Get Us All Killed’

REALLY?

The ‘Late Night’ host used the president’s own words to break down why cold temperatures don’t negate global warming, and left things on an ominous note.

As he tends to do when temperatures drop below a certain level in the United States, President Donald Trump put out one of his inane climate change-denying tweets on Tuesday.

“In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded,” he wrote. “In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can’t last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!”

Rolling his eyes, Seth Meyers said Tuesday night, “OK, once again, you’re confusing weather with climate.” Not to mention the fact that he left out the “r” in “warming.”

In an attempt to explain the concept to the president, the Late Night host showed a rare clip of Trump “being a decent person.” During one of his debates with Hillary Clinton, Trump said of his opponent, “She doesn’t quit. She doesn’t give up. I respect that.”

“See, that was weather,” Meyers said. “A quick, one-time thing. Now this is climate.”

With that, he cut to a montage of the most heinous comments Trump has uttered in public over the past several years, from “I moved on her like a bitch” to calling all Mexican immigrants “rapists” and more.

“And that’s what’s going to get us all killed,” Meyers concluded.
