Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke kicked off his speech at the Republican National Convention Monday night by praising acquittal of Lt. Brian Rice of the Baltimore Police Department on charges surrounding the death of Freddie Gray. Clarkeâs comments received a rousing applause from the crowd and he called the Baltimore case a âmalicious prosecutionâ on the part of âactivist stateâs attorney Marilyn Mosby.â Immediately following Clarkeâs address, Darryl Glenn, an black Senate candidate in Colorado, said: âSomeone with a tan needs to say this: all lives matter!â Rice was acquitted Monday of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct.
