Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg said she believes it was a “mistake” for her not to post on the social-media site about the Women’s March last weekend. Speaking Wednesday at the Watermark Conference for Women in California, Sandberg noted that she couldn’t physically attend the march because of a prior personal commitment and felt bad about it—but should've corrected that wrong by posting something. “I think that was a mistake and if I had to do it again I certainly would post,” she said. “This was an incredible showing of support for women all around the world, and it shows that there are so many people out there not just in the U.S., but around the world, who believe in equality for women.” Sandberg called the current political climate a “particularly challenging time” but said she still has hope that women will attain equality in the workplace. “No matter how challenging it looks, history is on our side,” she said. “The world will be a better place if half the countries and half the companies are run by women, and half the homes are run by men…We will get there.”
