A shooting at Noblesville West Middle School in Indiana Friday morning left two injured and the lone suspect in custody, according to law enforcement and Fox 59. A male student in seventh grade excused himself from class Friday morning, and “returned with two handguns,” Noblesville Police Chief Kevin Jowitt said in a Friday afternoon press conference. One teenage girl and one teacher were taken to local hospitals for their injuries, and the suspect is currently in custody. Some reports say a teacher stopped the shooter, and police have credited a “quick response” for saving lives. “I just thank [the teacher] for being that brave to stop this before it could have gotten a lot worse,” a mother told a Fox 59 reporter after she was reunited with her daughter. Vice President Mike Pence tweeted that he and his wife were “praying for the victims of the terrible shooting in Indiana.”
