In my opinion, there’s no such thing as owning too many jeans. Jeans are the equalizer of outfits. They can be dressed up or dressed down and there are so many different cuts and styles that they can be worn at practically any occasion. There are so many to choose from, but we’ve narrowed it down to a handful that can satisfy any experience you throw at them.
The Allen jeans are a favorite of Scouted Contributor Jessica Booth, who says that “They fit nicely at the waist without cutting off circulation and then loosen down the leg, making them casual and comfortable, even after wearing them all day.”
Scouted Contributor Carolyn Yates swears that they have not stopped wearing Everlane’s Authentic Stretch High-Rise Skinny Button Fly jeans. “Unlike other stretch jeans I've tried, the form-hugging fit stays strong between washes,” they said. “The casual black wash keeps me from feeling overdressed for hanging out with my dog on my living room floor.”
If you want a pair of jeans you’ll forget you’re wearing, these are it. They’re made of a thicker denim but the loose silhouette and long rise give them more of a sweatpant fit than traditional jeans.
These jeans have a modern feel, with frayed edges and a button fly. They’re structured enough to keep their shape and not stretch out, but have a touch of lycra for comfort.
These jeans fit me perfectly. This is not something I take lightly. I am short and have large legs and that means most jeans fit great in the thighs but gap at the waist. These have enough spandex in them that make them comfortably hug my curves without veering into jegging territory.
These mid-rise jeans fit straight through the hip and have a touch of spandex to keep things comfortable without stretching out. There’s a hidden elastic waistband to keep from gapping and mesh panels in the front for smoothing.
The only time I’ve ever been happy with a pair of petite jeans has been these from Madewell. These are sturdy with a bit of stretch and come in so many different wash options that there’s easily something for anyone. Madewell’s expanded denim program features Petite, Regular, and Tall inseams and goes up to a 37 in the waist.
In true Levi’s fashion, this style comes in 50 different washes. The 2% elastane makes these comfortable and durable. They’re slim from the hip to the ankle with a skinny leg, perfect for wearing with ankle boots. You really can’t go wrong with a 4.3-star rating with over 2,550 reviews.
Everlane does basics right, and their denim is no different. These are my perfect throw-on-and-go jeans that have a super high waist and a flattering wash. They cuff easily and are stiff enough that they won’t stretch out by day’s end.
These are classic skinny jeans with a raw hem to keep it a bit more casual and 2019. And even though they have “legging” in the name, they only have 2% spandex, which means you’re still getting sturdy denim that won’t give out after a couple of wears.
If you want a pair of skinny jeans that will keep you looking great all day, these are them. They contour to hug your curves and have five pockets for all your things (get outta here with your fake pockets). Choose from 19 different washes, including embroidered and snake print.
These highly-rated dark wash skinny jeans will be a reliable, comfortable staple in your wardrobe. Made from PAIGE’s performance-fiber technology, they’ll stay comfortable all day without stretching out.
