A conservative commentator at a Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned TV station resigned after he threatened to sexually assault March for Our Lives and Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg in a tweet. According to The Washington Post, Jamie Allman, who had a show on St. Louis’ ABC affiliate, tweeted March 26 that he was “preparing” to assault Hogg with “a hot poker.” Soon after the tweet, advertisers—including Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and a number of local businesses—announced they would no longer be advertising on Allman’s shows. “We have accepted Mr. Allman’s resignation, and his show has been canceled,” a representative for Sinclair told the Post. Sinclair has been under fire for its “must-run” pro-Trump commentary segments; Hogg was notoriously targeted on social media by, among others, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.
