SiriusXM Suspends Glenn Beck for Trump Threats

SiriusXM suspended Glenn Beck’s radio show Tuesday in response to a comment made by guest Brad Thor. The famed fiction novelist said last week on Beck’s show that citizens might possibly have to take potentially illegal means in order to keep Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump from office or “remove” him should he obtain it. Beck neither distanced himself from the comments nor rejected them during the interview. “Comments recently made by a guest on the independently produced Glenn Beck Program, in the company’s judgment, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office,” according to a statement issued by the network. “The Glenn Beck Program is suspended from our Patriot channel for the coming week. SiriusXM is committed to a spirited, robust, yet responsible political conversation and believes this action reflects those values.”
