Snooki, Pauly D, Deena, & More On Jersey Shore Season 3 Premiere

The Return

Need a refresher before America's favorite guidos and guidettes return for the third season of Jersey Shore on MTV tonight? From Angelina and Snooki throwing fists instead pumping them to Pauly D and Vinny finding love, a lot went down on the second season. See where we left each cast member in Miami (and meet newcomer Deena) to prepare for their homecoming to Seaside Heights!

Angelina Can't Take the Miami Heat

If Angelina Pivarnick—the bartender who said she did "great things"—couldn't handle the heat on the first season at the Jersey Shore, it's unclear why she thought Miami would be any different. The Kim Kardashian of Staten Island—as she referred to herself—shocked the roommates by returning for Season 2 in Miami, despite leaving Seaside Heights early in Season 1. Though this time, Angelina came with luggage instead of garbage bags, the self-professed Angelina Jolie lookalike still couldn't hack it in round two. After an explosive physical fight with roommate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and a verbal one with her only allies Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, the woman affectionately called the " Staten Island Dump" hit the road for good and will not be back for the third season.

Vinny Finds Time for Love

Somewhere between drinking and hitting the beach, some of the Jersey Shore cast members found prospects worthy of more than a pound and, surprisingly enough, even actual dates. After becoming a full-blown GTL— gym, tan, laundry—addict, Vinny Guadagnino, the quietest roommate, upped his game in Miami. In the second season, Vinny incited a fight between Snooki and Angelina after he hooked up with both of them, but ultimately toned things down after meeting love interest Ramona. Sadly, he had to leave his paramour behind in the Sunshine State.

Pauly D Quits Creepin'

If Vinny was surprised by his own romantic urges, then DJ Pauly Delvecchio must have been shocked when he also wanted more than roll around in the designated smush room. Normally Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's go-to guy when it came time to creep in the club, Pauly D changed his tune upon meeting Rocio. The Rhode Island spinmaster went so far as to confess his unusual motives, saying, "I like to have a girlfriend." Famous last words?

Sammi and Ronnie "Do" Them

Sammi and Ronnie's relationship was the cause of much chagrin among the roommates. In fact, their constant pattern of breaking up and making up lead to a near beatdown when Sammi found out that Ronnie kissed other women at a club via an anonymous letter written by Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Snooki. By the end of the season, the couple was back on, though their drama hardly subsided and "the note" definitely left its mark.

A Classy Situation-Some

Time for a "carousel?" That would be "two girls, me, and lots of fun," according to The Situation. While Pauly D and Vinny were practically reformed men of monogamy by the end of Jersey Shore's second season, The Sitch stayed true to form in Miami. The Season 2's finale was no exception—after Vinny refused two women who tried to have a threesome with him, The Situation gladly obliged his sloppy seconds in the club's bathroom. And yes, this is the same man who made an abstinence PSA with Bristol Palin during his stint on Dancing With the Stars. Actions do speak louder than words.

Snooki Gets Herself Into a Pickle

In what started off as a good-natured game with the roommates naming the superlatives of the cast—i.e. "Most Likely to Get Skin Cancer" and "Biggest Follower"—the bronzer hit the fan when JWoww accused The Situation of being "Fakest." In a cofounding exchange, he rebutted by also calling her fake, with Snooki following suit, saying that Pauly D and Vinny agreed. Proving the point that you never want to make a " gorilla juicehead" angry, gherkin-lover Snooki ended up as the odd woman out for ratting out her roommates. Fear not, though—everyone eventually forgave the Princess of Poughkeepsie.

JWoww Won't Forgive & Forget

Even after the cast said their goodbyes, there was still bad blood between JWoww and Sammi—who got into a physical, nail-breaking brawl earlier in the second season. Still upset about the note she wrote regarding Ronnie's infidelity, Sammi didn't say goodbye to JWoww before leaving Miami. Not one to mince words, the New York native gave Sammi a piece of her mind, setting the stage for a possible future Seaside Heights showdown.

Introducing Deena: Another Spicy Meatball

With Angelina gone for good, the Jersey Shore house wouldn't be complete without an eighth roommate—cue Snooki's friend, Deena Cortese. Deena, an equally tan and tiny guidette, is one of the only Jersey Shore cast members actually indigenous to New Jersey (besides Sammi), and given her announcement that "party two's here," it sounds like she'll feel right at home in Seaside Heights.
