In honor of Colorado’s marijuana tax holiday, Snoop Dogg released a video celebrating the state’s success in legalizing the drug for recreational use. With the addition of tax revenue collected from marijuana sales, overall tax revenue exceeded projections for the year. According to the state’s constitution, this causes the automatic suspension of recreational marijuana tax collection, which is pretty chill for stoners statewide who pay a heavier tax burden compared to the tax on alcohol.
Snoop sings the praises of legalizing it: “The job creation for so many people, crime dropping for safer neighborhoods and raising to date over $100 million dollars in tax revenue for the state and education.” So keep hitting that bong Colorado, don't just do it for yourself, do it for your community.
