Snowden: ‘Turning Point' on NSA

Though proposed reforms are “incomplete."

Edward Snowden has come forward with his own take on the Obama administration’s and Congress’ proposed overhaul of the National Security agency’s bulk data collection program. Via the American Civil Liberties Union, Snowden released a statement praising the measures as “the beginning of a new effort to reclaim our rights from the NSA and restore the public’s seat at the table of government.” He also noted, however, that even the more sweeping proposals to limit the NSA in Congress’ USA Freedom bill are “incomplete.”
