Snowstorm Pummels Dallas

Over 200,000 people without power.

The onslaught of severe winter weather continued on Saturday, covering parts of the western U.S. and the Great Plains with heavy snow. Over 200,000 people are without power in Dallas, where hundreds of car crashes have been reported and almost 700 flights were canceled on Friday. The storm moved across Texas into Arkansas (where nearly 30,000 are currently without power) and is expected to land in Washington on Sunday. A secondary storm system is expected to move into the Northeast on Sunday, dropping sleet and snow. Several deaths have been reported and winter advisories have been issued in eight states from California to Colorado.
