According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Music is ending its partnership with producer Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald), following a longstanding controversy over rape allegations from singer Kesha Rose Sebert. In 2014, Kesha accused Dr. Luke of forcing her to take a date rape drug and then taking advantage of her in a hotel room. She also claimed that the producer had denied her profits from her work including the smash single "Tik Tok." Dr. Luke, in turn, filed a defamation claim and framed her attempts to get our of the record deal as extortion. Attorneys for Dr. Luke and Sony declined to comment to The Hollywood Reporter. Kesha's reps were unavailable for comment.
