Theresa Randle, a former actress known for starring in movies like Space Jam, Malcolm X, and the Bad Boys franchise, was arrested in California this week for assault, according to TMZ. The tabloid reported that Randle was taken into custody two days after an alleged assault was reported from a Los Angeles-area home over the weekend. By the time officers showed up to respond to that initial report on Saturday, Randle had left the scene, according to TMZ. On Monday, she was arrested after a caller at the same home made a new report of a possible domestic issue and a potential restraining order violation. Randle was “irate and far from cooperative during the booking process,” according to TMZ. Sources told the site that the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office rejected her case when she appeared in court on Wednesday. After a productive period in the 1990s that also included work in projects like Kathryn Bigelow’s Near Dark and Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever, Randle’s credits grew more sporadic. In the last two decades, she has appeared in just two feature films: 2003’s Bad Boys II and 2020’s Bad Boys for Life.
