James Spader certainly isn't typecast. The ex–Brat Packer, known for roles ranging from quirky boss Robert California in The Office to a lobbyist in Spielberg's Lincoln, is now set to play Ultron, the evil robot villain in the Avengers sequel. No word on just how the Emmy Award winner plans on playing a machine—whether it'll be motion-capture special effects or just Spader's voice—but he’ll definitely be channeling some rage. “He’s not a happy guy ... He’s got pain,” director Joss Whedon said of Ultron’s character. The movie will be out in May. P.S., remember Spader in Mannequin?
