She’s already a legend in the making in the fashion world, but now she’s officially Mrs. Legend.

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen married soulful singer John Legend during a ceremony in Italy over the weekend. The wedding (whose guests included Kanye West and Stevie Wonder) involved three Vera Wang dress changes and an intimate ceremony. She told E! of her multiple gowns: “Every time I went in [to Vera Wang] for a fitting, I couldn't stop getting one.”

The happy couple had been together six years before they tied the knot. Three years ago Teigen famously made her debut in the 2010 swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated magazine.

But before she was gracing the glossy pages alongside models like Kate Upton and Anne V, Teigen got her start as a substitute model on Deal or No Deal in 2006. In 2007 she appeared on the cover of Maxim’s calendar of models, and it was because of friend Brooklyn Decker that she was introduced to Sports Illustrated casting directors in 2010. While BFF Decker landed the cover, Teigen was named “rookie of the year,” launching her career as a smoldering centerfold.

The Norwegian-Thai beauty is represented by IMG Models, and has appeared in campaigns for Nike, Billabong, Gillette, Olay, and other big-name brands. But her interests extend past the runway—mainly to cooking. Yet as she herself recognizes, her hobbies aren’t conducive to the life of a model. On her cooking blog (which features many photos of a smiling hubby), Teigen writes, “Personal random ramblings from a girl who loves bacon and can't be fat.”

Her humor is apparent in all of her posts. Her instructions for “the perfect scallops” include “Season both sides and let those little marine bivalve mollusks chillax.” She continues, “DFWI! That’s “don’t fuck with it”! The urge to move your marine bovine sandy pollock cosmopolitan hotels will be strong. FIGHT THE URGE!”

In February, Teigen was featured on a Cooking Channel special appropriately titled “Chrissy Teigen’s Hungry.” The broadcast detailed her plans for the wedding menu she executed. Teigen, an active presence on twitter, tweeted early this morning to her nearly 300,000 followers, “Phew. I gotta say, that was a hard secret to keep from you guys.”
