Stacey Dash Withdraws Her Congressional Bid

Clueless star and outspoken conservative Stacey Dash is withdrawing from the California congressional race, according to CNN. Dash filed her campaign paperwork one month ago, starting her bid for a seat in California’s 44th District. In an email statement, Dash said she would be ending her “Dash to D.C.” campaign after “much prayer, introspection and discussions with my family.” She claims she started her campaign “with the intention to address the pressing issues in the district where I live,” but said the “overall bitterness surrounding our political process, participating in the rigors of campaigning, and holding elected office would be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of my family.” Dash said the 44th District, which is strongly Democratic, was a “difficult choice” to pull out from.
