Child actor Jake Broadbent, known for his role as the young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, was arrested in South Carolina last week after leading police on a car chase before crashing into trees, authorities said Sunday. The 26-year-old actor, also known as Jake Lloyd, was charged with reckless driving, failure to stop for blue lights, resisting arrest, and driving without a license. The chase lasted about 20 minutes before Broadbent crashed. Authorities did not believe he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
