With its quick-draw shootouts, desert chases and outlaw heroes, it’s always been pretty obvious that the Star Wars saga has borrowed heavily from the Western genre. However, this fan film takes that idea one step further, replacing Clint Eastwood and company with Star Wars characters in the climactic scene of the classic western The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Han Solo, Boba Fett, and Greedo star in an impressively faithful re-creation of the famed three-man showdown that ends Sergio Leone’s epic. Clever camerawork and CG effects give this short a great retro feel that pays loving homage to both films. And keep your eyes peeled for a quick nod to Star Trek as well.
