Nearly 20 years after Kevin Spacey’s Christopher Walken, Norm Macdonald’s Burt Reynolds, and Darrell Hammond’s Richard Dreyfuss auditioned for the original Star Wars films on Saturday Night Live, the bit was back.

But this time, Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams introduced the supposedly unearthed audition tapes, which also included appearances by real-life cast members Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

We got to see Cecily Strong’s Sofia Vergara, Taran Killam’s David Beckham, and even Jay Pharoah's mentally-impaired Shaquille O'Neal vie for the role of Chewbacca. More unexpected were the actual Emma Stone, who self-parodied her controversial part-Asian character in Aloha, and the one and only Jon Hamm as a surprisingly convincing Han Solo.

But it was SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan who won the day with his bizarre take on George Lucas, lurking around the back of the set in glasses and mom jeans, and delivering lines like, “You will get me a Coke Zero,” complete with Jedi mind trick hand wave.
