A new documentary about President Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon will premiere Wednesday at Sundance Film Festival, USA Today reports. “The Brink” promises to provide a window into the alt-right advocate’s daily life since being ousted from the White House, including his endorsements of Republican candidates across the country before last November’s midterm elections. In the first 15 minutes of the film, Bannon reportedly defends his short-lived White House stint. “There’s no glamour to the job. I hated every second I was there,” he reportedly says in the doc directed by Alison Klayman. “The West Wing has bad karma to it. They say, ‘Because you were doing bad stuff!’ But I was doing the Lord’s work.” According to USA Today, the ousted political strategist never throws Trump himself under the bus in the film and even praises the president for teaching him that there’s no such thing as “bad press.” “Donald Trump is a historical figure and a transformative president,” he says at one point. “Donald Trump will be in your personal life 30 years from now, whether you like it or not.”
