Legendary R&B singer Stevie Wonder took the stage at Aretha Franklin's public funeral Friday evening, singing his song “As” while playing the piano backed by a full gospel choir. “We’re here today because of love, because of how much we love this woman... the blessing from God was given to us,” he remarked before singing. Wonder was a close friend of Franklin's, and he was also one of the last people to visit her in August before she passed away.
