Stormy Daniels’ lawyer has sensationally alleged that she was threatened with “physical harm” during the attempts to stop her from talking publicly about her alleged affair with Donald Trump. Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Friday, attorney Michael Avenatti was predictably evasive when answering questions about the legal suit against the president and used his appearance to repeatedly plug Daniels’ upcoming 60 Minutes interview, which will air later this month. However, at the end of the interview, when asked directly by host Mika Brzezinski if Daniels was “threatened in any way” during attempts to keep her quiet, Avenatti replied: “Yes.” Asked further if she was threatened with physical harm, Avenatti again replied: “Yes.” Finally, asked if his client’s life was threatened, the attorney said: “I’m not going to answer that. People will have to tune in to 60 Minutes on March 25.” He refused to answer whether or not Trump was personally behind the alleged threats, or whether it was a physical or verbal threat. Avenatti promised the special interview will contain explosive details of his client’s alleged affair with the president and the subsequent attempts to keep it quiet.
