And you thought no one in Hawkins, Indiana cared about Barb.
Because it’s Halloween, Netflix has released some archival footage from fictional TV station WIYZ’s “Minute by Minute” in which we get to see how the disappearance of Stranger Things’s most beloved character might have been covered by the town’s local news station.
As (real-life) anchor Brenda Wood reports, Barbara Holland, known as Barb to her friends, was last seen at Steve Harrington’s house. According to Barb’s friends, she was “loyal to a fault” to her best friend Nancy and “can really rock a pair of mom jeans, or as we call them now, jeans.”

In another story — headlined “Are Youths Turning to Crime?” — Wood shares surveillance footage of “vagrant juvenile” Eleven stealing Eggo waffles from the local Bradley’s Big Boy.
It’s all in good fun, but if Netflix thought this would hold us over until Stranger Things season two, they were very, very wrong.
