The Indiegogo campaign to fund a sequel to the 2001 cult comedy Super Troopers exceeded its $2 million goal in just one day, and is still going strong. To show that they mean business, the gentlemen of Broken Lizard posted a video to Funny or Die showing how they’re getting into shape for the new movie.
The Lizards get training from Lou Johnson, a former Bay Area police officer, and pride themselves on doing their own stunts—until co-star/director Jay Chandrasekhar brings in a professional stuntman to take a taser shot for him.
The clip reassures fans that Super Troopers 2 will have the same raunchy, goofy humor that made the original a cult classic. But after this boot camp, it’s a safe bet that Broken Lizard wish they had made Beerfest 2 instead.
