Teacher Wins $1M on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Sarah Manchester, a middle-school math teacher from Maryland, became just the third person ever to win the $1 million grand prize on Wheel of Fortune. On Wednesday, Manchester solved the final puzzle (“loud laughter”) and then found herself being asked by host Pat Sajak, “Can you use a million dollars?” Manchester screamed “yes,” of course. Manchester is a lifelong Wheel viewer, and even offers her own children cash prizes during episodes. The million-dollar grand prize was introduced by the show in 2008. When asked what she was going to do with the money, she responded, “I’m working on that. We have a lot of ideas. A lot of plans in our family.”
